An-Nahl 16:106

مَن كَفَرَ بِٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِيمَـٰنِهِۦٓ إِلَّا مَنْ أُكْرِهَ وَقَلْبُهُۥ مُطْمَئِنٌّۢ بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ وَلَـٰكِن مَّن شَرَحَ بِٱلْكُفْرِ صَدْرًا فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

Whoever disbelieves in [i.e., denies] Allāh after his belief... except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allāh, and for them is a great punishment;

إنما يفتري الكذب مَن نطق بكلمة الكفر وارتدَّ بعد إيمانه، فعليهم غضب من الله، إلا مَن أُرغم على النطق بالكفر، فنطق به خوفًا من الهلاك وقلبه ثابت على الإيمان، فلا لوم عليه، لكن من نطق بالكفر واطمأن قلبه إليه، فعليهم غضب شديد من الله، ولهم عذاب عظيم; وذلك بسبب إيثارهم الدنيا وزينتها، وتفضيلهم إياها على الآخرة وثوابها، وأن الله لا يهدي الكافرين، ولا يوفقهم للحق والصواب.
