Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Hafiz Ibn Kathirواعتذروا إليه بأن هذه ) أضغاث أحلام ) أي : أخلاط اقتضت رؤياك هذه ( وما نحن بتأويل الأحلام بعالمين ) أي : ولو كانت رؤيا صحيحة من أخلاط ، لما كان لنا معرفة بتأويلها ، وهو تعبيرها .

Word by wordقَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَـٰثُ أَحْلَـٰمٍ ۖ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَأْوِيلِ ٱلْأَحْلَـٰمِ بِعَـٰلِمِينَ
They said, "[It is but] a mixture of false dreams, and we are not learned in the interpretation of dreams."
