Yunus 10:42

Word by word

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear [i.e., benefit from this hearing], although they will not use reason?

ومِنَ الكفار مَن يسمعون كلامك الحق، وتلاوتك القرآن، ولكنهم لا يهتدون. أفأنت تَقْدر على إسماع الصم؟ فكذلك لا تقدر على هداية هؤلاء إلا أن يشاء الله هدايتهم; لأنهم صمٌّ عن سماع الحق، لا يعقلونه.
